Short-term availability
If the new bearing required as a replacement has a long delivery time, remanufacturing is the ideal – and fastest – alternative. Bearing repair takes no more than four to 16 weeks, depending on the condition of the bearing and the necessary work processes. It’s then ready for immediate use. Together with our experts’ fast response time, this is how we ensure maximum availability of your machines and avoid unplanned downtime.
Sustainability
The longer a bearing is used, the better its environmental performance. By remanufacturing and optimizing the bearing for its specific use, we extend its service life and help you to achieve your sustainability goals. Repairing a bearing consumes less material and energy than manufacturing a new bearing and thus reduces CO₂ emissions. This is especially true at the lower remanufacturing levels because no steel is needed. In addition, much less water is consumed in some cases.

100% Return Concept

For every bearing that you send us for remanufacturing, you receive a fully functional bearing in return. That’s our 100% Return Concept. To be able to meet your individual requirements, we offer two different models. The second model is mainly used in the rail sector but is also available to all other industries.

Model 1.0

After remanufacturing, your own bearing is returned to you. Only defective bearings are replaced with new ones. This means that you don’t have to keep a replacement in stock but can continue to use your bearings.

Model 2.0

For bearings that you send to us for remanufacturing, you receive identical ones from a pool of bearings that have already been reconditioned. On request, these replacement bearings can be delivered at the same time as your bearings are dispatched. A new bearing warranty is also possible.

Remanufacturing Levels

Because the particular work processes that are necessary depend on the condition of the bearing, the remanufacturing process is divided into multiple levels. This means that each bearing undergoes only the levels that are necessary for it to regain a like-new condition.

In order to reliably determine what work will be required, all bearings are first assessed and then the remanufacturing level is determined. Once the necessary work processes have been completed, the rolling bearings are reassembled, optionally greased, preserved, and repacked.

The four levels of remanufacturing - The right preparation for every bearing

Level I - Requalifying
First the rolling bearing is disassembled and cleaned. The components are then assessed, inspected, and measured. All the data from this inspection is documented in the assessment report.
Level II – Refurbishment (= Level I plus)
The components are polished and the seals are replaced.
Level III – Remanufacturing (= Level II plus)
The functional surfaces are reground and components like rolling elements and cages are replaced.
Level IV – Remanufacturing plus (= Level III plus)
The inner and outer rings are replaced.
